Implementing Strategies of War Part 1: The Covid Era
Thanks to Moe and Adam I have been introduced to the 33 Strategies of War by Robert Greene, and if you view everything that has been happening since January of 2020 as an opportunity to wage war and implement these strategies, buckle up.
While the current war against the people has been going on for a long time, the Covid 19 phenomenon has exposed its purpose and depth in ways that were not anticipated. Perhaps the following strategies were used by the government apparatchik against the people aka the enemy. It may have formally started with Covid 19, but has been brewing for the 4 years since. Here is how:
DECLARE WAR ON YOUR ENEMIES THE POLARITY STRATEGY
Life is endless battle and conflict, and you cannot fight effectively unless you can identify your enemies. People are subtle and evasive, disguising their intentions, pretending to be on your side. You need clarity. Learn to smoke out your enemies, to spot them by the signs and patterns that reveal hostility. Then, once you have them in your sights, inwardly declare war. As the opposite poles of a magnet create motion, your enemies--your opposites--can fill you with purpose and direction.
This strategy was two fold and well constructed from the onset of the pandemic. It became clear that to determine who the proper enemy was, it had to be established that opposition to imposed policy was politically and ideologically driven. Creating a Red versus Blue mentality/ virtuous versus reckless. Early on this was evident with the war on words and who got to use them. Calling it the “China Virus” was racist despite years of precedent using locations are viral monickers by public health officials. It became the first tool in the battle. Who was speaking which words exposed the enemy to those declaring war. For simplicity of understanding I will call them the deep state. The other factor in this was the upcoming Presidential elections. The deep state being in great opposition to the sitting President worked hard to expose political allegiance to confirm their enemy.
DO NOT FIGHT THE LAST WAR: THE GUERRILLA-WAR-OF-THE-MIND STRATEGY
What most often weighs you down and brings you misery is the past, in the form of unnecessary attachments, repetitions of tired formulas, and the memory of old victories and defeats. You must consciously wage war against the past and force yourself to react to the present moment. Be ruthless on yourself; do not repeat the same tired methods. Sometimes you must force yourself to strike out in new directions, even if they involve risk. What you may lose in comfort and security, you will gain in surprise, making it harder for your enemies to tell what you will do. Wage guerrilla war on your mind, allowing no static lines of defense, no exposed citadels- -make everything fluid and mobile.
Novel. That is what the entire Covid 19 debacle was. A novel virus and with that came a novel way to fight it. “Two weeks to slow the spread” was unknown territory in the world of public health and yet we steam rolled right into it. Who would have seen something so dramatic unfold? No one has ever locked down a largely healthy and uninfected population before, but hey if it saves just one life right? Our trusted public health institutions were more than happy to promote this concept as though it were a tried and true approach without concern for the loss of trust. They took a risk and were confident that the media class would protect them since they had declared war against the same enemy, political and idealogical opposition.
AMIDST THE TURMOIL OF EVENTS, DO NOT LOSE YOUR PRESENCE OF MIND: THE COUNTERBALANCE STRATEGY
In the heat of battle, the mind tends to lose its balance. Too many things confront you at the same time--unexpected setbacks, doubts and criticisms from your own allies. There's a danger of responding emotionally, with fear, depression, or frustration. It is vital to keep your presence of mind, maintaining your mental powers whatever the circumstances.
It is common to hear now with covid in the rearview, “we worked with what we knew at the time.” However, at the time unknowns were spoken as fact, and therefore you were unable to question them. I remember clearly the regular press briefings and Birx and Fauci pointing to later debunked studies to justify their policies to the press and the American people. They had to maintain the image of the all knowing beings to push their policies as the right course of action despite knowing two things: 1. that they would cause great damage emotionally and financially. 2. they were not scientifically sound. This became the great strategy to never be allowed to question the expert class and to manipulate the dynamic. It is hard to lose your cool when you have created the narrative for a room of people carrying your water. Choosing safe spaces with a compliant media was the best way to maintain presence of mind.
CREATE A SENSE OF URGENCY AND DESPERATION: THE DEATH-GROUND STRATEGY
You are your own worst enemy. You waste precious time dreaming of the future instead of engaging in the present. Since nothing seems urgent to you, you are only half involved in what you do. The only way to change is through action and outside pressure. Put yourself in situations where you have too much at stake to waste time or resources--if you cannot afford to lose, you won't. Cut your ties to the past; enter unknown territory where you must depend on your wits and energy to see you through. Place yourself on "death ground," where your back is against the wall and you have to fight like hell to get out alive.
There could be a few instances that this is relevant, but I find the Covid 19 infection/death tickers on every major news network the most applicable here. Created by the public health industrial complex for the public health industrial complex. The sense of urgency was on the screen everyday and it demanded something must be done. What better way to get out a universal coronavirus vaccine or another 2 weeks to slow the spread? Light your own hair on fire so everyone begs you to put it out. Or maybe we can go so far as “create your own virus in a lab and the people will come running for the cure.” Who knows what was going to happen but the pin has been pulled and the grenade had already been thrown.
AVOID THE SNARES OF GROUPTHINK: THE COMMAND-AND-CONTROL STRATEGY
The problem in leading any group is that people inevitably have their own agendas. If you are too authoritarian, they will resent you and rebel in silent ways. If you are too easygoing, they will revert to their natural selfishness and you will lose control. You have to create a chain of command in which people do not feel constrained by your influence yet follow your lead.
This is definitely more of a long game strategy when it comes to what we saw in 2020. It makes me think of that famous line from George Carlin when he said, “you don’t need a formal conspiracy when interests converge.” Table top exercises are not a new concept, but in the early 2000’s the fear of biological weapons attacks really started to steal the show. I won’t get into George Bush and the damage he did in regards to bio-warfare because I would need all day, but these exercises started to create tacit acceptance by those in charge to novel ways of addressing biological threats. I would also call this grooming. We have seen exercise after exercise spanning Presidents ensuring that when the shit they planned hits the fan, they are all on the same page. They are all after the same outcomes.
Hmmm only 28 more to go.
